We do not quote a specific amount, because the costs depend on the size and complexity of the project. We charge by the hour or at a fixed project price, and we decide together with you which arrangement fits best. For an assignment that is easy to define, a fixed price is the obvious choice; for work whose scope may still change, an hourly basis often fits better. We only bill pure working hours, meaning only the time we actually spend on the project.

The more efficiently we set up the repetitive part of the work, the fewer hours we need. A well-built set of Revit families quickly makes the difference there. In a first conversation, we prepare an estimate based on the documents supplied. That way you know where you stand.

We work both by the hour and at a fixed project price, and we decide together with you which arrangement fits best. For a clearly defined set of drawings, clients often choose a fixed price, because the costs are then clear. For work whose scope may still shift, such as an ongoing revision round, an hourly basis often fits better, because our input moves with what the project requires. We only bill pure working hours, and we do not work with prepaid hour bundles or a monthly hours subscription.

If a drafter steps away for a coffee, that time is not counted. We discuss which arrangement fits in the first conversation, together with the schedule. That way there is no ambiguity about the agreement we use. A combination of both arrangements within one project is possible.

What mainly brings costs down is how efficiently we set up the repetitive part of the Revit drafting. A well-built set of parametric Revit families saves time compared with components a drafter redraws by hand every time. With a messy family set, we sometimes rebuild it faster than we could repair it. A clear CAD standard also helps, because our team then does not have to switch between ways of working.

We only bill pure working hours, so we never charge for time we did not spend. Because our team scales with the work, you do not carry any overcapacity. A well-prepared file also saves time compared with a file we first have to sort out. A first conversation quickly shows where we can save the most time.

With a freelancer, one person does the work, without the second and third check we carry out as standard. With us, every piece of work passes a drafter, a second team member, Sam as our team leader and Barry as our project manager before it reaches you. If a freelancer falls ill, the work stalls, whereas we replace someone who drops out so the project carries on. Our large, variable team scales with the volume of each project.

Everyone on our team has more than ten years of CAD experience, led by Sam, who has a background in architecture. The intellectual property of the result belongs to you regardless. For smaller, one-off jobs, a freelancer can sometimes move faster. For larger or ongoing volumes, our team with several review layers gives more certainty.

If a drafter is out due to illness or holiday, we replace that person so the project carries on without delay. Our team does not consist of one person per project, but of several people who work to the same CAD standard. If Sam is temporarily unavailable, we safeguard technical guidance through the team, and Barry keeps an overview of ongoing projects. When things are urgent, we add extra people straight away, so we still meet a deadline that cannot slip.

You notice little of any change, because we record the CAD standard and project agreements. This way of working stops you from depending on the availability of a single individual. A fixed point of contact on our side remains reachable even when others are out. That is how we keep the project's progress on track.

Every Revit model goes through at least three review layers with us before it goes to you. A drafter builds the model, and a second team member checks that work for errors and consistency. Then Sam, as team leader, reviews it, and Barry, as project manager, looks over it last before it goes out. In a model with a lot of repetition, such as a set that comes back often, that extra pair of eyes is valuable, because a small error multiplies quickly.

This structure keeps the number of errors minimal, even at high volume or on a tight schedule. When revising existing work we apply the same checks, so we do not carry over errors from the original. We apply that process to every project, whatever its size. You can therefore count on our model being correct.

Our large, variable team grows during an ongoing project when the volume turns out to be larger than expected. That team is already in place and we deploy it per project, so scaling up does not mean we first have to recruit new people. When things are urgent, we add extra people straight away, so a growing project does not get stuck because of a shortage. Everyone who works for us has more than ten years of CAD experience, so newly assigned people can work to the standard straight away.

Sam and Barry keep track of progress, including during that growth. You do not have to estimate perfectly in advance how big your project will become. A catch-up along the way makes clear whether we deploy extra capacity. That keeps the schedule achievable, even when the scope changes.

For an estimate, we need a clear idea of what has to be drawn, from a single component to a complete Revit model, and whether it is new work or a revision. We prefer to receive existing drawings that need revising early on, so we can properly estimate the scope of that work. The CAD standard and file formats you use also factor into our estimate. It is also useful to know how tight the turnaround time is, because that determines the capacity needed.

A first conversation maps out these points. We reply to a new request within 1 to 2 working days. As soon as we have enough information, we quickly start on the first work. A smaller assignment as a first step is also possible, to assess the collaboration.
